keen events is an inclusive wedding planning company based in portland, oregon. we specialize in creating seamless and stress-free wedding experiences that truly reflect the unique personalities of our couples.
we take pride in being oregon's first green-certified wedding planner, and we offer sustainability guidance to all couples who share our commitment to the environment.
while there are lots of fun tasks like cake tasting and choosing your signature cocktails, we know there can be challenges to navigate during this time. from complicated family dynamics to decision fatigue and the stress of trying to plan a wedding while working your full time job - we're here to help you navigate every step.
i'll be here to help keep you calm, to keep you informed, to support you, and to guide you through the wedding planning process from finding your venue to sending your thank-you cards (and every overwhelming detail in between). when we work together, you have a friend, an advocate, and a professional on your team.
when you book us, you will receive general advice, guidance, reassurance, and unlimited, timely communication. we will do whatever we can to ensure you, your guests, and your team of vendors feel supported and taken care of. you receive full access to our online planning software, free eco-friendly consultation, and extra love and surprises on your wedding day making your investment worth every penny.

and an avid traveler.
while in college i studied abroad on semester at sea. i traveled to 14 countries over the course of 5 months and have fully circumnavigated the world by ship. i was sea sick almost every day. in total, i've been to 43/50 states and 24 countries and counting. the next state that i want to visit is alaska.
i'm an east coast girlie
i was born and raised in boston, ma. i have two older brothers and my mom and i talk more times a day than either of us would probably admit. in high school i became a member of the DDC (dead dad club). we lost him to cancer.
i moved to portland, oregon in 2015.
and i'll probably mention alex, too.
that'll be from keene (yes, with an "e" at the end). she is a service dog "fabulous flunk out" and the sweetest pup. she’s a ten year old, 85 lb shiloh shepherd and our namesake.
you might hear some barking...
we met at a wedding in jamaica where we were maid of honor and best man.
we got engaged 3 years later in maui and got married in neskowin, oregon in may of 2019.
we had 12 people at our wedding.
when i'm not working...
i've worked in healthcare IT for fourteen years and counting. when i'm not working on healthcare or weddings, you'll catch me at home goods, sipping chai tea (never coffee), exploring the great pacific northwest (backpacking, camping, over landing, day trips, weekend getaways, wine tasting), throwing backyard parties, or hosting friends and family visiting from out of state. more often than not, i'm enjoying being a homebody and bopping around the house working on projects or rotting on the couch (probably thinking about my couples).
